Power Systems Engineer
Our multi-billion pound client, is seeking a Power and Energy Systems Engineer to develop a comprehensive Energy Systems Transition strategy with a whole-system approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide industry experience and guidance to the team.
- Serve as the primary contact for technical queries related to Electrical Power Systems.
- Collaborate with Energy Network partners to develop innovation challenge statements.
- Lead industry workshops and meetings to create ambitious project plans.
- Develop technology propositions with innovators for industry and external investment consideration.
- Assist with technical due diligence for industry investments.
- Identify new technologies and innovative SMEs.
- Support project delivery and solution deployment.
- Experience in a technical role within a UK DNO or TNO, with broad knowledge in operations, asset management, health and safety, business planning, innovation, and fault performance.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant energy industry subject.
- Chartered Engineer status.
- Experience in group facilitation and team leadership.
- Familiarity with legal and commercial aspects of solutions development.
- Knowledge of the RIIO regulatory regime, NIA, and SIF funding streams.
