Senior HV Cable Engineer
- £600pd (outside IR35)
- 6 months
- Hybrid (Birmingham 2 days per week)
You’ll act as a senior design authority on EHV cable systems (11kV–400kV, with focus on 132kV+), leading design packages, studies, and technical reports, ensuring compliance with UK and international standards. You’ll mentor junior engineers, support project bids, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to drive innovation, safety, and client success.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related).
- 5+ years’ EHV cable design experience (min. 3 years on UK transmission projects).
- Professional membership (IET, CIGRE, IEC, IEEE).
- Health & Safety qualification (IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent).
